Does this bridal shower invite wording make sense??
I am helping to write a bridal shower invite for a friend. We came up with this...but does it make sense??
A shower we’re giving For the future husband and wife For the things they may need As they begin their new life
Please join us in showering (the bride) with love and best wishes at a party in her honour on (date) at (time)
To me, it kinda doesn't sound right b/c in the first part we are speaking of gifts and the second part are speaking of showering with love and best wishes...What do you think? Is it OK?
Also, should the title "bridal shower" be in there somewhere, or can it be figured out by the wording?
Any other suggestions?
Please give your most honest opinions...
Thanks for your help...

Re: Does this bridal shower invite wording make sense??
I would say "bridal shower" is not needed, it's self-explanitory by the wording. The only thing that sounds confusing to me is in the first part it mentions "a shower we're giving for the future husband and wife." I read that as a couple's shower. Are you open to different wording? Here is the wording form the invites I did for my FSIL's shower,
"The wedding is planned, the dresses are bought So Jennifer's Bridal Shower becomes our next thought.
We're showering her with Love and Kisses Just before she becomes "Brian's Mrs." Let's surprise the bride-to-be DATE TIME PLACE CITY, STATE
Please say "I Do" by DATE NAME NUMBER"
Good Luck!

Re: Does this bridal shower invite wording make sense??
Excellent point. This shower is for women only. We just thought that because the gifts will be for the couple, in general, it would be OK to use the husband and wife...I guess we could use 'soon to be wife...'
Your wording is also great! So sweet...I am definitely considering your wording...
