NWR: My poor baby sis!
My little sister turns 17 today and like any other 17 year old has been dying to get her license...so she took her road test today...and failed!
When I called to find out what happened I heard her hysterical, choking crying in the background....I felt so horrible...she is like my baby too since she is 9 years younger...so sad!

I know the feeling- I failed my first time too! My parents even had a congratulations cake and balloons when I cam home-  (looking back, it was kind of funny). She'll be fine- she'll take it again. Like one of my good friends always used to say- 3rd times the charm

I failed the first time too...I told her welcome to the club!
I really felt like I was going to cry when I heard her crying though...I am so protective of her! It really ripped me up inside!
I know she will get over it, and I think she has already started, but what a lousy thing to have happen on your b-day!

My 17 year old sis failed her test two weeks ago too...I felt awful for her, she was heartbroken..she was doing great until she parallel parked and scraped the curb..that is why she was failed!
She retakes it today as far as i know....I hope this time she passes!

 God do I remember the first test I took. I took drivers ed and was the only girl in the group. I did everything right and the jerk instructor even had the nerve to tell me I did but he felt woman should have extra training before getting behind the wheel so he failed me. I can remember wanting to run him over after he passed the last guy in my group who was speeding I have faith your little sister will get it her next time out. Sorry she was so upset

I failed my first time too - and the guy wrote "F**** up left turn" as the reason! Terrible experience. But then I went back again and passed - though I think the guy felt bad for me b/c I showed up in my Kellenberg HS uniform which was just hideous and made me look like a nun!)

Awww! I failed the first 2 times I remember crying about it too it sucked. What was worse is that the first time I failed I took it in the drivers ed car and after the test we went to leave and my mom had left her lights on so we had to get the car battery jumped-I just remember being so upset and wanting to go home and having to wait for someone to jump the car.

aw, i failed the first two times--- i tried to hurry up and learn in like a month...
i know someone who got into a fender bender 2 wks. after she passed her test the first time (her fault), so tell your it's really not a good determination of how well you drive... the test can just make you nervous.

They are REALLY tough!
Out of ALL of my friends I'm the ONLY one who passed it the first time (I took a lot of private lessons beforehand). EVERYONE had to take it at least twice. they're really getting tough with these tests! In the city it's not as necessary to have a license so I didn't get mine until I was 18, but I have a LOT of frineds who still don't have it and I'm almost 23
