For those of you who printed your own envelopes...
What program did you use and how did you do it? I am so confused. I tried to do it on word, but it will take forever, any suggestions?

I did it in word perfect. why do you say it will take forever? B/c you have to type each one? Once you get going its not bad, I had my MOH help me, made sure I had the addresses right and that I didn't forget anyone

we used adobe illustrator to make it bigger an dbecause they have better fontsit took a while - but it's much cheaper and easier han having it done elsewhere

I used word for the inside and labels for the outside. The inside didn't take too long. We only had 68 invitations to do anyhow.

I've used wrd for several occasions. At first it's annoying, you screw up a few, but once you get into the groove it'll be done in a couple hours

Can I toss in a question too? I am finding that the envelopes are getting stuck in my printer and a few have 'track' marks from the printer. Any suggestions?

Try changing the printer settings ie print landscape or portrait, and turn the envelope, it could be the flap.
In order to get rid of the track marks, run a regular piece of paper through until there are no more.

It speeds the process up if you do a mail merge. List your addresses in a spreadsheet like Excel and then import the list and it will automatically set up your envelopes.

df made this excel spread sheet for all the names and addresses and then created a template for me in word.As for the printer see if the back of yours opens so that instead of having it roll inward and then back ward out so that it lands on the top of the printer - see if it can go to the back of the printer only. This will reduce those marks. Also the blank paper thing is a great idea. L
