My 1/16/05 wedding at Westbury Manor with PICS

I had a wonderful wedding day. It was very cold, but it didn’t snow. Thank God! What more could you ask for in mid-January.

Oksana: A++
She created the natural look that I wanted. She was very eager to please, friendly and talented. She arrived on time and made BM’s and I look great.

Leslie from Signatures Salon: A++
A true professional. She arrived early and made us look elegant.

Elegancia Entertainment: A++
Jose and Lucy are great. They made me feel comfortable from the start. They exceeded my expectations by far. They played a mix of soca, calypso, reggae, R&B, some salsa and hip-hop. My guests were dancing all night long. Those considering Elegancia, definitely look into getting lighting and your name-in-lights. They were a huge hit.

Sherwood Triart: B+
Photography: I had Brian as my main photographer and Benny as my photojournalistic photographer. They were very professional and friendly. I received over 800 proofs and they were good. However, the album took 5 months longer than expected to complete.

Sherwood Triart: B+
Videographer: John arrived on time, was professional and unobtrusive. Our video is good! He captured all the details and edited it nicely.

Wingate Inn, Garden City: A -
I booked the large suite to get ready and for the wedding night. The room was huge, clean and located very close to Roosevelt Field and WM. I would stay here again.

Flower Michele: A+
I met with John and booked him on the spot. He was knowledgeable and receptive to my all my ideas. His flowers were fresh and full. I ordered a pomander for my flower girl. It fell apart after the ceremony, however John included a backup nosegay (I guess he knew how fragile they were), so ladies if you decide to get a pomander, keep this in mind. He also did a fabulous job decorating my wedding cake. I’ve received several compliments and would use John again in a heartbeat.

Westbury Manor: A++
Susan was my BM. She was very professional and answered all of my questions. Raul was our Maitrd-D and Lupita, our bridal attendant. They were both very attentive and hard working. Our cocktail hour was scheduled to begin at 6pm, however when many of the guests arrived early, the WM began the cocktail hour at 5:30. There was sooooo much food and everything tasted SUPERB. Chair covers were rented from Finishing Touch. (A+) They really made a difference and completed the look. I’m glad to hear that they are now included. My parents and guests had no complaints.

Stain Weist: 2 Steel drum players: A
They were authentic players from Trinidad. I didn’t get to hear them in person prior to the wedding. I was given a CD and they had a great sound. They also started playing earlier than expected and were fantastic.

Elaine Deluca of Exquisite Events: A+
I hired Elaine for my rehearsal and day of coordination. I met with her three times prior to the wedding and was able to contact her anytime with questions. There were small incidents that occurred on my wedding day that were all taken care of by Elaine. She even drove my DH and I, back to our hotel after the reception. Elaine was truly worth the extra expense.

Wrap With Us in Syosset: A
I bought my favors, ring pillow, guestbook and pen here. They have reasonable prices and a variety of useful wedding items. Definitely worth checking out.

Linda’s Lovelies: A
I fell in love with Encore invitations and search high and low for a great price. Linda offered 35% off the retail price and was very knowledgeable and sweet. I also purchased my Soon-to-be-Mrs. sweat suit from her. She has favors and other cute wedding items.

Cudge.net: A
I purchased votive candles and Chinese take out boxes here. They are located in NYC, so you can save on shipping if you live nearby. Excellent prices

www.beau-coup.com: A+
I purchased monogrammed cosmetic bags for my bridesmaids here. They were made of silk and came in beautiful colors. The girls loved them.

Hampton Inn and Suites Rockville Centre: B+
They were great with handling reservations, have reasonable prices and beautiful, clean rooms. Only downside was that it's located next to the LIRR, so light sleepers may have a problem.

All Star Limos: A+
Arrived on time, had great directions, drivers were friendly and have spotless cars.

Bridal Reflections, Carle Place: A
I purchased my gown, as well as my flower girl’s dress here. I have heard horror stories of some ladies, however my experience was good. My dress arrived early and alterations were perfect.

Tuxedo Park, Carle Place: A
Great customer service and tuxedos. My DH and GM had no problems.

Pearl’s Place.com: A++
I purchased my bridesmaid’s Watter and Watter’s gowns here at a significantly reduced price. The dresses were authentic and arrived earlier than expected.

Alterations: Anna in Brooklyn: A++
Anna, a former bridal salon seamstress, now works at home. She offers reasonable prices and did a fantastic job on the BM dresses.

Bridal Styles in Bklyn: A+
I purchased my headpiece here. They have a lot to choose from for a variety of prices. Definitely worth a trip to Bklyn.
