Re: Please Post Suggestions of Gifts for Readers....

My 2 readers were under 30, so I got them a book called something like 'Things you should know how to do before you turn 30' and a gift card.

Re: Please Post Suggestions of Gifts for Readers....

I think gifts depend on the person.

bottle of wine?
Cigars?
Framed pic of you and them?
A first edition book (if they are really a 'reader')?
A gift basket delivered to their house the next day?
Tickets to the theater? A bed and Breakfast?

Re: Please Post Suggestions of Gifts for Readers....

Our readers were our Aunts so we brought them this.

Then at the wedding we took a pic with each of them and then gave it to them to put in the frame.

Re: Please Post Suggestions of Gifts for Readers....

I have a lady who is 50+ and she is going to sing at my wedding. She sings beautiful and she does it at her church on Sundays. I have no idea what to get her. She is the best friend of FMIL and I'm really fond of her.

Re: Please Post Suggestions of Gifts for Readers....

I bought my two guy readers (cousin was 20, uncle was 55) Tommy Hilfiger Watches. They were $65.
I bought my girl reader (cousin was 21) diamond earrings for $62 (on sale 50% off at Macy's, orginally $125+tax or something)

Re: Please Post Suggestions of Gifts for Readers....

We got each reader (3) a gift certificate to Barnes and Noble and then a smaller gift tailored to them.

My FSIL is an artist so she got a fancy silver bookmark with an artist palate on it.

My other FSIL is a scrapbooker so I got her a scrapbooking magazine with many layouts

My other reader is a long-time friend and loves all things Irish so I got her an Irish trivia book.
