How far in advice do you need to ask your readers to particpate in the ceremony?

I haven't done this yet? And I have no idea on who I should ask. Do you think if I wait two more months that would be too late?

No, I just did this about a month ago, I think you're fine.

Not at all. I think that gives them plenty of time- I haven't asked mine yet.

Sorry to but into your board - I asked about a month before my wedding.
We didn't want to rush into asking anyone so we waited an made sure the people that we wanted to ask were the people we asked.

Re: How far in advice do you need to ask your readers to particpate in the ceremony?

I asked mine early only because I didn't want two friends to feel left out since I had asked the other two close friends in our group to be in the bridal party. (We had wanted to keep it small).

But I think traditionally you can ask them much closer to the wedding.

Re: How far in advice do you need to ask your readers to particpate in the ceremony?

We asked one months ago and he said NO!!!

That scared us off, so now we're waiting until we get responses to see which of my cousins will be coming to the wedding.

I suppose I have to ask them before they wonder why they got an RD invitation!

Aw, I'm sorry! Don't get discouraged, your MOH or the BM can make excellent readers! That's what FH's brother did.

We just asked my friend to read yesterday...she's in Italy and I couldn't wait until she got back (the week of the wedding).

Re: How far in advice do you need to ask your readers to particpate in the ceremony?

I asked one of my readers this past weekend and we still have a few others to go. We're still trying to figure out our ceremony. Since we don't see this person very often, I figured I'd do it sooner rather than later.

Thanks everyone for the input. At least I know that I am not behind schedule on this.
