Stupid Question- How did you tell your boss?

I work for a very SMALL company (6 people) and a few know that I'm PG...in the last couple of days I really seem to look a lot larger...and it's getting pretty obvious...

I dont know how to tell my boss. It's stupid, but i feel like this is very personal info and I really don't want to share it with him!! I know that sounds stupid because pretty soon the world will know, but I dont even know how to approach the subject.

Any suggestions?

There is no set time to tell people. If you feel like holding off a little while longer then go ahead. It's personal info. (at least that what I was told when I was pregnant. MY old office manager didn't tell her boss till she was 6 months!)

I just came right out and told her after I came back from my 12th week check up. Needless to say you could see it in her face that she was not happy and her remark 'oh your pregnant how nice' was dripping with sarcasam.

Re: Stupid Question- How did you tell your boss?

Ok, I read an article about this and after my 12 week sono, I made an appt with my boss and sat down and said 'I have good news and bad news, the bad news is I'm leaving, the good news is I'll be back in a few months'. This made my boss thankful that I was not leaving for good, and made my 5 month maternity leave seem more bearable. Good luck, I was sweating bullets, especially since it was my 3rd time telling her! When I sau down and started my Good NEWs vs. Bad News thing, she shouted out 'Congrats AGAIN.'
