Photographer Prices

I have been looking for a photographer, but I have no idea what's expensive and what's reasonable. I was wondering if anyone can help me out with this.
Also, it would be a great help if anyone can give suggestions for a good photographer.

Well, what are you looking for? Thats a good place to start. Photographers range widely in prices. It depends on what you want. Do you want traditional or photojournalism? What kind of album do you want? Do you want parents albums?
Its hard to say whats expensive or not because we all have different budgets. Some photographers that are very well recommended here are Patken, Duet, and Silverfox.
I am in the process right now of looking for a photographer. I have already seen Patken and silverfox and have an appointment tomorrow with Duet. If you would like any specific details, FM me.

artie from artistic images all the way! he did a great job and prices a great too! on my wd he helped keep me calm and relax when mom was driving me crazy! lol but seriously he was great he got the best pic of my hubby and my daughter and i cried when i saw it for the first time! he was more like a friend then a vendor through out it all! when i got my album last month it was so pretty and did a wonderful job on it. i stink at links but this is the number you can use to call him, it a follow me find me kinda number so you can always get him! if you like photojournalism, try Angelica Glass. Her wedding package is priced at 1350 and includes: all proofs, negatives, cds of the digital files, all digital editing including colorizations which are no charge, unlimited film, all day coverage and an engagement shoot!

She doesnt make the albums, but she'll tell you how you can make your own...you'll save tons of money doing this!

Jim and Rose from Classical Look Photography were also great, very sweet and attentive. My album and proofs were amazing too, the color quality was the best I've ever seen. I had my proof in two weeks and all of them placed in 2 albums. Jim also worked with our budget. My wedding album was just beautiful.

My package was about $2545 (original price $2995), because I cut out the parent albums and I got a discount because I booked them after seeing them at the Marriot in Uniondale. Ending Price $3000 because I added in then end.

Original Pkg. includes: I included my extra's for the price I listed above)
40 print Album (I got 60) mixed with 8x10's and 10x10's
Engagement shoot and Portait 16x20 framed
2 parent albums each with 16 5x7's
2 8x10's ( I got 3) and 4 5x7's (I got 10)
2 11x14 portraits or 1 16x20 portrait
75 Thank yous (I got 100)
All proofs and Negatives.
+ 6 special effects (B&W, splash of color, 5 pose page, or 2-3-4 multi page)
Plus I got the Panorama page in the middle of the album in sephia color
plus I ordered an additional 16x20 frame.

All prints can be devolped in color, black & white and sephia.

He was so easy to work with and very reasonable. Our pictures were fantastic. We got a package deal and paid $3,400 which included the Video.

I have to say I TOTALLY agree with Janet-- I had Artie from Artistic Images and he is by far the best photographer ever. I just got my proofs yesterday and they came out better than I expected. He has a great package for an amazing price. My best friend is using him for her wedding because she saw what great work he does.

I am dottiemchugh's best friend!!!!...My FH and I are planning no using him!! I was a bridesmaid in her wedding, and Artie was quick and to the point with taking the pics and we got to enjoy the rest of ther reception with no problems!!! I am so excited to meet with him next week!! YAH!!!

I never doubted him... he is the only photo guy Ive seen, and I left there saying we should book him...I dont even wanna see anyone else!

I'm using Artie from Artistic Images also.
He's also my brother in law, but that aside,
I would highly recommend him. He's got a great personality and his pictures are always beautiful. As the girls who already used him know, you will not be disappointed if you use him. Good luck ...
