Hey! I was just wondering where you guys took your engagment pictures- did you go to a park (and what name please) or did you just take them in the studio? I am just wondering what to expect! Thanks:)

Re: 12th night brides/brides-to-be- where did you take your engagement pictures???
I did mine in his studio.(Dom was actually the 2nd photographer to do our e-pics. When DH bought my e-ring, he get a certificate for a free engagement shoot. We went to a park and it was approx 100 degree outside. Needless to say, when I got the pic back, you could tell we were both ready to drop from heat exhaustion. So, when we booked Dom as our photographer, we INSISTED that we have them done in his studio- even after he offered to go out somewhere with us)

Re: 12th night brides/brides-to-be- where did you take your engagement pictures???
there are 2 places im consideringi cannot for the life of my remeber the first...its a park on the north shore ...it also has a beach, i remember it used to be private during the summer but my family and i had an easter picnic there every year and took pictures in our easter clothes.....if i remember correctly there was a native American museum or preserve right next to it
[If you know what im talking about, please let meknow ]
I also just showed my fh pics of Sands Point Preserve...with the castle and archways and beach. i think we might choose it but were waiting for spring to come

Jenn-- if you go a distance away from Dom's studio he'll charge you a fee for traveling... his reasoning is that it takes more time and stuff and doesn't make it as low cost for him... something like that
Just a heads up. That's why he usually does the Roslyn Duck Pond or the Garden City Gazebo. Also, I think I know what park you are thinking of but I am drawing a blank as well!!

Re: 12th night brides/brides-to-be- where did you take your engagement pictures???
I had wanted to take pictures at the Nassau County Museum of Art in Roslyn and Dom nicely 'nixed' the idea. His feeling is that the pictures are really all-close up and so the 'landscape' doesn't really come into play.I live about 2 miles from Sands Point Preserve and is one of my fave places to go for walks or a quick run...

Just remembered it's the Teddy Roosevelt Sanctuary I was thinking of... And I know it would be close for you but we took our pix at the end of October at the gazebo and they came out beautiful-- the leaves were all different colors and the scenery was gorgeous!
