If you love your BM, don't send them to David's Bridal in Carle Place!

I'm a BM in a wedding in May, so I finally went to David's Bridal Saturday to order my gown. The place was a madhouse, and once they heard I wasn't the bride, I waited a half hour until someone gestured in the direction of the corner where I could find the dress style. I dragged along my husband, but wanted an opinion on size. There were no workers to be found at all! Finally I got an opinion from another mother/daughter pair but the only one in the size had a broken zipper so I couldn't even tell how it would really fit! Armed with the size, I waited on line an hour to pay and order it! Once I did, she said it would come in mid-April, that the one other BM had ordered hers. I said waiiitttt, I called Monday and they said they would wait to place the other order so they would be from the same dye lot. She sighed loudly, said fine, I'll cancel that order, it hadn't gone through yet anyway!! I would give them an F for service!!!!!!!!!! I don't know if it is the lack of workers (I think 3 for the entire store), or just the general attitude of them (I am not here to help), but it was the WORST shopping experience of my life.

I ordered my dress and my MOH dress from david's on Carle Place. Went on a Friday night and the place was packed as well. And though I had to drag dresses off the rack into the dressing room myself and my consultant (who really was a doll) wasn't catering to just me, I felt it was worth the money I saved. I purchased both my dress and my MOH dress for only $564.

When they sent me a survey via email - I did let them know for the amount of business they have, they really should have a bigger staff.

I feel your pain. I got my BM dresses there and have had nothing but problems with them. It took 3 tries to get the shoes dyed in the right color and size.

Thanks, I am just praying it will come in on time since over the phone they told me two weeks and when I went they said we cannot guarantee two weeks, we can only guarantee a month and a half!
