Re: Photojournalism vs. 'Soho' style album

how about combineing your photojournalism into a soho style? are you still doing formal shots?

im requesting more photojournalim shots then formal. prehaps 40/60 ratio.... patken will take your formal shots and put a spin on it from what you saw in thier preview books

Re: Photojournalism vs. 'Soho' style album

I'd love to do a little bit of everything. But try explaining photojournalism to my mother. She is stuck in her little box and probably won't like a photojournalistic approach at all. I just don't want an album full of pictues of me dancing with every guest at my wedding and a cheesy smile on my face

Re: Photojournalism vs. 'Soho' style album

I don't know who your photographer is, but if it is Patken, at least with my wedding, They didn't take hardly any dancing pics. Out of my 375 pics that Doug took, about 12 are dancing pictures, so you're album won't be full of dancing :)

Did you look at my SOHO album I posted a couple days ago? I have a good mix of photojournalistic and traditional pics. And just because you're mom is paying doesn't mean she has 100% control. It's your day, your marriage, your wedding, your memories. FIGHT for it! My mom was like yours, controlling, tried to have alot more input than she I wanted her to have. Just yes her to death, say thank you for the suggestion. SOme things I let her have her way, but for pics I FOUGHT with everything I had and even Doug put her in her place on the day of my wedding when she started giving him suggestions. I hugged him!
