o.k. this is craziness - someone do the math. Jericho Terrace or Tall Grass

Jericho Terrace told me I can still have the wedding there and keep my $1,000. They will let me do 125 people for $60 pp.

Tall Gass says 100 people at $65/head.

I love the JT. Love it.. I havent been in TallGrass yet... Tall Grass will do it in the evening. Jericho Terrace from 12:30 - 6:00

What would you do and how much would I save going where LOL I cant even think right now!!!!!!!!!!

Heres the 2 websites.

personally I wanted a night wedding, so that would make my decision for me, but its' up to you.

ETA: you will save roughly $1000 if you go with Tall grass, less people

I would check out tall grass to be sure that you like it first. Will FMIL be willing to pay for either place?

Depends on how many people you plan to invite. If you only have 100, for for Tall Grass and save $1K. If you have 125, then of course Tall Grass will cost more at $5 more pp plus tax & grat.

Re: o.k. this is craziness - someone do the math. Jericho Terrace or Tall Grass

I think so. She was going to do it in the backyard but it was becoming the same amount and she would rather do it at a hall with less work. She mentioned contributing about $7,000 or so. TG offered $65 pp for 100 people. JT is $60 pp for 125 people but I already put down $1,000 and if I dont go with them I lose that...

Actually I think it will cost about the same, but I could have 25 more people at the JT. THeres no outside area at the JT, but the Tall Grass just doesnt seem elegant enough. I just dont know about the daytime wedding in a skylight room.. I just dont think people would party as hard do you?? LOL

Re: o.k. this is craziness - someone do the math. Jericho Terrace or Tall Grass

I went to a bridal expo at tall grass and it was ok. I would say, definitely check it out first. The food was ok, while I was there we sat with a couple who had already booked them and said they are adding on an enclosed patio, where a cocktail hour could be held. I wasnt crazy about the room though, because we sat all the way to the left when you walked in and it was like being stuck in a corner. You really couldnt see much. this is just my opinion, Ive never been to the JT so I couldnt compare, but dont decide to pick a place based on if its a night or day place. Day weddings can be just as nice as night weddings.

Re: o.k. this is craziness - someone do the math. Jericho Terrace or Tall Grass

Check on their service charges, these vary by hall. If there's a big difference between service charges, you may have your answer. Also, take a look at your guest list. If you're barely hitting 125, I'd do Tall Grass because you'll wind up having to spend more at JT for services you're not receiving.

ETA: You'll wind up paying more at JT overall because your tax and service fees will be based on the $7500 total, not the $6500 additional.

That reminds me, if you look at their information I believe you have to pay valet extra at tall grass. I dont know if that makes a diff
