Roslyn Park. We took pctures there for my friends wedding, she had the reception at Leonards. It's really close and really beautiful ... a pond, ducks, a wooden bridge, etc...http://www.newsday.com/features/custom/names/ny-namesofli-gerrypark,0,4596076.htmlstory

We're going to the Garden City Gazebo ('cause it's nice and it's free) and I hear it's near Leonard's.

My wedding will be in Roslyn. Can you just go there to take pics, or do you need a permit?

I don't know if you need a permit, I don;t recall her getting one, but I would call one of the numbers on this website to find out.http://www.historicroslyn.org/history.html

FYI, From Leonards, the Roslyn Pond is closer than the GC Gazebo.

It is right behind the stores on Main Street in Roslyn. Old Northern Blvd becomes Main Street in downtown Roslyn. The entrance to the pond is on Roslyn Road, just south of the Clocktower on Main street.

Not being religious here or anything, but i recently went to a catholic retreat in Manhasset, and the place is a mansion that was donated to the church. Its called St Ignatius. If you can overlook the religion part, this would be a great place for pics!!

Sorry, I was wrong, Roslyn Road is actually Main St. in downtown Roslyn. So the entrance is at Main Street and Paper Mill Road. Paper Mill Road is this little street that actually goes into the park.BTW - The Retreat house is also known as Inisfada if you are searching on the web, you might have better luck with that name.
