Rates for Blocking Hotel Rooms

For anyone who blocked their hotel rooms already, what kind of rates were you offered?? I received a quote of $129... im not sure if that is good or not...

I got $115 for a friday night in november at the hyatt windwatch but that was before it became the hyatt supposedly it has gone up.

that's a good rate... i got $149 at wingate and marriott in uniondale, and $119.99 at red roof inn. my rates are probably higher b/c of the holiday weekend.

We are using the Hampton Inn in Brookhaven... Saturday night of Labor day weekend $149 with transportation and breakfast.

I got a rate of $149 for the Marriott in Uniondale - but being that others got it cheaper - I guess I didn't get the best price. What makes the rate higher? The number of rooms blocked? I blocked 20 rooms.

For the Holiday Inn I was quoted at 129 per night.. they were really nice too!!

I got a rate of $139/night including breakfast at the Harrison House on Labor Day weekend, which I thought was pretty good (especially since that is where my wedding is). I blocked 30 rooms so far, and will probably add a few more.

I was quoted $139 for the Holiday Inn for Sun night Columbus Day weekend. The Hampton Inn never returned my phone calls so I never got a quote from them. We ended up blocking at the Radisson, it was the least expensive.

Most of the quotes I got were between $129-149. I got a rate of $119 at Courtyard Marriot in Ronkonkoma on the LIE. Suzanne was very nice and accomodating

we got the wingate in garden city for $139/night and the garden city hotel for $185/night...we were also going to get a block at the marriott in uniondale but they quoted me $169/night...the reason why i think it was so much is that my wedding is the same day as the belmont stakes so all the hotels in the area are booked...

Cort I recieved a quote of $129 from the holiday inn, then when they sent me the contract it went up to $139. I called the lady about it and she wouldn't budge

We booked the Radisson in Holtsville for $109 per night with breakfast. This is for Labor Day weekend, so it may be less for a non holiday weekend.

I got $129 for the Hampton Inn in Islandia. Our wedding is a Saturday night. That was the cheapest i found that was near our reception site.
