Those of you doing Body for Life-
Do you recommend getting the book? I looked in Borders the other day and didn't see it. The website has some good info but I don't know how thorough it is. I would like to start soon. Thanks!

I would recommend the book...but maybe you can borrow it from someone or get it from the library. The website is a good basic plan, but the book is more in depth regarding the science behind the diet and why it works. That really motivated me.
If you have any questions, feel free to FM!

The book is worth the money. I also thought the journal was great. I think the book and journal cost $50 together and it's worth it. I also have the eating for life cookbook and it's good for some new ideas. But I'm a picky eater and I haven't been able to get too many new ideas. DH uses it though.

Re: Those of you doing Body for Life-
Thanks ladies. I am going to go to B&N tonight to get the book. May as well, I have bought nearly every other diet/fitness book!
I am a picky eater too, so I am anticipating come challenges. But mainly I just won't eat anything green ('cept lettuce) so maybe I will be ok.

Sorry for the dumb question, but what is body for life?
It's a 12-week program of diet and exercise. You're supposed to eat 6 small meals a day, every two to three hours, each consisting of a portion of protein and a portion of quality carbohydrate (wheat bread instead of white, brown rice instead of white, etc).
For exercise, you alternate cardio with strength training 6 days a week:
Sunday: Lower Body weights
Monday: Cardio
Tuesday: Upper body weights
Wednesday: Cardio
Thursday: Lower body weights
Friday: Cardio
The following week you switch so that you're doing your upper body twice and lower body once.
The 7th day is your free day. You can eat WHATEVER you want, and you don't have to exercise.
Here's the website: Body for Llife
