Navy BM dresses with silver shoes?

My girls are wearing Bill Levkoff dresses in Euro Satin Navy and I was thinking of having them wear silver shoes instead of Navy. the guys will be in black tuxes but i don't think i'm going to like the navy vests with the Black tuxes so i might do silver-that's where this is all coming from.

does anyone have any pics or opinions to share?

I prefer it when the shoes are the same color as the dresses.

i think a metallic sandal would be perfect. im not into the dyables plus metallic is so hot right now the girl will use them afterwards!

I def. think you could do it.... I remember for my sr prom I wore and navy gown with silver shoes and I loved it... ok, maybe that was like 10 years ago but I totally think you could do it!

FYI: Friends of ours had gotten married and the groomsmen wore silver vests with black ties... the groom wore a silver vest and ties... it looked sooooo nice!

My girls wore navy dresses w/ navy strappy shoes. The guys wore gray vests: here is one of my brother and sil so you can see the vest better, my DH wore a silver/platinum color and my father wore a black on black paisley vest.

Definitely silver would work...you could even do a nude tone strappy sandal too...

My girls wore navy dresses and silver shoes. They looked great. The guys wore silver vests. It all worked together well. I wish I had pics!

thanks everyone! Bride 2005--i love the idea that you gave, i was trying to figure out how to set my FH apart because i don't think he wants to wear a white tie so that would be great.

i like this idea so much better than dyeables...they look more fashionable and less 'BM' IMO. plus i would wear silver shoes again whereas navy dyeables aren't as wearable. PLUS one wedding i was in we had navy dyeable shoes and the color came off and dyed my feet.

i love the idea of them being able to wear the shoes again. once shoes are dyed navy they can only be dyed black i think---i think you can only go darker. so i think i'll go with the silver.
