Honeymoon in Hawaii advice needed
Hi,
Hope you don't mind me asking here...I figured this was a good board so i could get some ideas :)
We would love to go to Hawaii...the problem is not really knowing anything about the hotels in Maui. We want to stay somewhere nice with beautiful views....but affordable at the same time.
If anyone can share advice/prices/places with me I would be so appreciative!!!
Thanks ladies.

Re: Honeymoon in Hawaii advice needed
I booked mine through www.visitorcenter.com and got a great deal. One thing I can suggest is not to book the ocean front rooms. We barely spent anytime in the room and didn't get to take advantage of it. Many times they will upgrade you anyway. We stayed at the Hyatt and loved it. Also, we didn't really need to pay for the upgraded car as we only took it out of the lot once.

Re: Honeymoon in Hawaii advice needed
OMG I just wrote this whole thing and I clicked on the dang banner on the side and lost it. Ill try to remember it.
We went to Oahu Kaui and Maui (We stopped in San Fran and Vegas we stayed at Hyatt in san fran) We stayed in all Hyatts. They hyatts were great and we got a discount for staying in all hyatts. Plus what was good about the hyatts was they had a breakfast deal (and not like a bagel like a good breakfast buffet). We went to a travel agent I would suggest doing going to. Even if you don't book it through them still see what price you can get. I think we paid a little over 7000. for everything (with the exception of the vegas hotel which was comped) What else was good about booking through the travel agent was she put in the computer "Honeymoon couple" We got special things like a coupon for a 79.00 sunset sail when we went on the sail there was another couple there who paid 149.00 they said they didn't book through a travel agent. We had champagne in every hotel and choclates. We used Liberty Travel in Levittown and Emily was the agent. She was great she talked us out of the more expensive hotel cause it was on the other side of the island and there wasn't that much to do on that side. She was great. We had a car on Maui and Kaui. Oahu is like a city so you can get places by walking or public transportation.
Here are some pictures of our views. Oahu partial ocean view Kaui garden view Maui ocean view

June26204 - We had the same view from our room on Kauai! I forgot about the amazing breakfasts!
PS Can you remember the names of the drinks at the Hyatt on Maui? We have been trying to duplicate them

Re: Honeymoon in Hawaii advice needed
Ahhh Hawaii .... Wish I were there right now :)
First off we went to Maui and Kauai we stayed at the Hyatt Regency in Kauai (MY FAVORITE) and the Four Seasons in Maui.
I agree that you shouldn't book Ocean view off the bat. We booked Garden View for both and were upgraded to Partial Ocean view in both cases were beautiful.
We had a wonderful time on both islands but I will make the following suggestions.... A must in Maui is the Feast at Lele. This was one of the best nights we had in Maui. (see pic to left :)An absolute awesome time and worth every penny. Book in advance and you will get a front row table. www.feastatlele.com
Also unless you are super adventurous and into heavy hiking DO NOT do the raod to Hana. We found this to be a waste of time. Many of the waterfalls described in the guide book have to be hiked to and you must have the special hiking gear to enjoy. JMO :)
Hope this helps... Hawaii was great...
