Has anyone stayed at or blocked rooms at the Sheraton off Exit 53 on the LIE ( Wicks Rd. )

I went there today and was considering it for $ 109. They only book 10 room blocks.

If you have or have not , WHY did you?

i went two weeks ago and they told me $129 a night!!!!!!!!!!!! I was going to block at that rate but haven't gotten around to calling back. I liked the place.

wow...you need alot of rooms. I really felt for the area that the sheraton is the best choice. I was looking for a hotel that was 'clean' and had a bar that would stay open late. The sheraton bar was willing to stay open later than the marriott. Otherwise, i have no complaints about the hotel. Stayed at sheratons before and always found them to be pretty good. The hotel management was also very accomodating when we called and went down to look.

I have stayed there before and just blocked off rooms for our wedding ($124/night) I agree that it has the most to offer in the area. The holiday inn does not have a bar and does not have a place for breakfast. The marriot's bar closes at 1am (our reception is not over until 12:30am!) At the Sheraton, they said that last call was around 2am and they were the cheapest for brunch also!

They quoted me $129 a night, too.
I'm not blocking that many rooms, though.

I chose them and the marriott based on proximity to my parents' house (site of after party) and the sheraton's willingness to offer a discounted brunch for the day after.

I haven't been there in 15 years or so; I barely remember what it looks like!

I think my quote was different because of the seasonal rates. I'll let everyone know what goes on today. I have a apt. to see the rest of the hotel at 2pm. with Dana.


Who did everyone talk to when they were quoted?

Even though I need 20-30 rooms they only block 10 at a time. So for less rooms it would be the same.

I just got back and booked it for a 10 room block to start and got $109. I dealt with Dana.

We are using them too. ALso $129/night, working with Dana. It was just a good location for us. They'll add as many rooms as you need but just block off 10 at a time. We are having our morning after brunch there too. My mom has been to a bunch of events there and liked it.
