ADVICE NEEDED-- ASAP!!!

ADVICE NEEDED-- ASAP!!!

My FI and I went to look at an apartment yesterday even though we were not planning on moving in together just yet. However, the apartment is really nice-- all redone and a good size. It is close to my family and job and gym also. However, the landlord said he won't show it to anyone else until I call him and tell him if I want it -- by 3:30 today!!!! We don't know what to do--- it is great, but is it too soon? Also, the house is huge and three other apartments are in it, so I have to worry if they will be a pain in the ***-- too loud or annoying if we make any noise at all. What should I do-- take it and see what happens, or wait and hope something better will come along?

If you love it, and its in the right price range, then go for it...
If you have doubts about it (which it sounds like you do) then keep looking... There are lots of apartments out there.

I don't really like it when people are pushy when it comes to sales.. trying to pressure you.. When did it go on the market, how do you know he hasn't said this to three other people... I don't know that would make me uncomfortable.

If you loved it, i say go for it. FH and i werent planning on moving in together till may but it just worked out that we had to move in together in dec. it honestly worked out for the best!

Thank you for the vote of confidence-- I just told the landlord that we will take it so long as FI's current roomates are okay with him leaving sooner than expected. I am so psyched and can't wait to decorate!

its great, but a very schetchy landlord. I would pass because of the demand needed to say yes before you see it

Lauren...that's great. We've been looking at apartments the past 3 weekends & there is such garbage out there. If you found something you like, you did a good thing.

BUT I'd be sure to get EVERYTHING in writing w/ this landlord (what rent includes, when rent is due, etc.)

What neighborhood is it in? FH & I are moving next week to an apt. in Lindenhurst. We're psyched. We're actually picking out paint colors & furniture this weekend.
