post office question: hand cancelling nassau?
anyone know where i can hand cancel invites at no charge in nassau? thanks!

there shouldn't be a charge at any post office. Just go up to the counter and ask that they hand cancel them.

Hicksville PO is open 24hrs! They hand cancel at no charge.

I did mine at the Floral Park Post Office. They are great there,... Just beware... They still go through a machine..

hand cancelling means the postage is cancelled by the person (not put through the machine)
if you request it it'll help avoid run marks and ruined invites arriving to your guests

I thought it wasn't open 24 hours anymore??? but it IS open until like 11ish at night, and re-opens at around 5am...??

If you ask them to, they will.
When I went to do my e-party invites, they just handed me the stamp, and put me on the side of their counter, and said, stamp them like this (it was a small post office, which ALWAYS had a line) so she took the rest of the line, and I hand-stamped them! (I LOVED IT!)

Where did you end up going Azad? I went to the one in Hauppauge for my e-party invites and they were so nice and did them right then for me. I will probably go back there with the wedding invites.

i just tried the new hyde park office...they were so busy though i just left the box, and the lady said they would take care of it...i'm so nervous lol
