Re: getting ready on the big day

Perhaps they will let you use the priory or rectory of the church.

Re: getting ready on the big day

I got ready at my parents house (that was where I was living at the time) it was 10 minutes from the church so it was really convenient.

Re: getting ready on the big day

We are all getting ready at a hotel. I was going to get ready at my mom's house with my bridesmaids but she doesn't have central air and I didn't want to run the chance of being hot and sticky before the wedding.

I'm getting ready at the church (most likely) if not than a hotel. My house is just too small.

I'm getting ready at home - FH will be at his parents. BCE is only 10 minutes max from both houses, so we'll be just fine

Re: getting ready on the big day

i am having a hard time deciding. My parents have a big beautiful new house in CT which would be great for pics but the ceremony is in the Bronx and we would have to get up extra early and it might be hard to get a hair person to travel to their house......

Re: getting ready on the big day

Getting ready at a hotel. My grandmother lives with my mother so having everyone getting ready at my moms house would be too much for her. We will though stop by my mothers on the way to the church for pictures there.

Re: getting ready on the big day

I live in NYC and mom and stepdad live way out East on LI. So...we are both getting hotel rooms the night before (I claimed the suite) Fh thinks I'm nuts for getting separate rooms the night before. For some reason, it's the one thing that is traditional that I feel almost superstitious about (despite the fact we live together for 2 years already).

Do what is going to feel most comfortable to you!!!
