Getting married after daylight saving time

Is anyone getting married after daylight saving time and having a difficult time determining how to capture daytime pictures? My ceremony will be in the evening in Nov., probably at 4pm, and by then the sun will be going down. The only way to capture daylight pictures is for FH and I to see each other before I walk down the aisle. Is anyone else doing this? Does anyone else have this problem?

Re: Getting married after daylight saving time

I'm getting married 11/4 just after daylight savings time and my ceremony is at 3. I refuse to see FH before (just my own superstition-my brother saw his wife before and they are happily married) so we are going to take some pictures after the ceremony (as many as we can get in) and take more pictures at the East Wind it is so beautiful there so I'm sure we wont have a shortage of great shots. I also saw a few night shots that I absolutely loved so I'm looking forward to those as well.

Re: Getting married after daylight saving time

I was wondering the same thing. I am getting married 11-12-05, 1 weekend after daylight savings time. The sun will set at 4:30!! This is going to make taking outdoor pics after our 3:00 ceremony really difficult, I am at a loss! I really don't know what to do. I really have to discuss this with the photog B/C I do not want to see my fiance before the ceremony. Please let me know what you or anyone else will be doing.

Re: Getting married after daylight saving time

What time does your reception begin? Is it rude to keep the guests waiting for more than an hour before the cocktail hour begins?

Re: Getting married after daylight saving time

My church is at 5 and the reception is at 7:30. I am bummed about it being dark when we get out but I'll make the best of it! I'm planning to take a lot of indoor pix at the hall and hopefully there will be lights outside!
