BOOK: Taking Charge of Your Fertility by Toni Weschler

I bought this book (thanks ladies for recommending), and started reading it. It's very intriguing and a lot of things make better sense to me now. I'm definitely going to start charting my cycles. I'm just past the charting instructions... is there anything else in this book besides the charting?

I'd like to hear success stories of your charting experience.

PS: I was bored this weekend, and created an identical chart on Excel of the chart... lemme know if you'd like for me to forward to you.

I haven't yet finished the book yet myself, but I have gotten through the entire charting section .. about 1/2 way through or more

Honestly its already taught me more about my body than I ever knew, and I'm no spring chicken!

Just an FYI, you can chart for free on fertilityfriend.com - that's what I do. You just enter the information and it creates the chart for you. It's nice to have it one place.

I couldn't believe how much I never knew about my own body until reading that book. I went off the pill in April, started charting in May, started TTC in September and got pregnant in October! So it really works!

Seeking info/guidance - Not TTC yet, just trying to familiarize myself with my cycles:

In my 1st month of charting, but I don't think I've got it yet... been kinda doing it ½-a$$ed. Taking daily temp, and observing CF, but I have no idea about the cervical position. Any tips?

Temperatures have been constant, under 97.7º, but it shot up to 98.5º Sunday (CD 18)... according to the book, that would mean Ovulation, but then the temp dropped back down to 97.5º Monday. Not sure if I waking up 3 hours after temp-taking time had anything to do with it... Confusing!

yes if you woke up three hours after the time you normally take your temp than you should dismiss that temp.

As for CP tips..I dont have any but to tell you practice makes perfect.
I promise the more you do it, the easier it gets.
