Ideas for Baby Shower location?

Hi Mommies! I am running out of time and available dates for most of my family's preferred shower locations.

Any great Baby Shower friendly locations in Nassau that you would recommend I check out? One with a private room for about 40 - 50 people would be the best. North Shore is closer.....

help? any thoughts would be appreciated.

Re: Ideas for Baby Shower location?

My shower was at Mandolino Grill in Mineola and was great!

Calla Lagra in Bellerose is wonderful.

The Metropolitan or Steam boat Landing in Glen Cove are good too.

Good luck!

Re: Ideas for Baby Shower location?

I had my daughter's bridal shower at the Milleridge Inn Carriage House. If the date is close, they may give it to you for 50 people. Don't take any of the rooms above the Inn though. They are under a different management and the food is not as good.
At the Carriage house, the entire little building is yours for the whole time. You can go in earlier in the morning and decorate it any way you wish. It was a really lovely room and a great experience, all the way around. The price was also very reasonable.

I'm sorry you had to go through that experience. Originally I did book one of the upstairs rooms because I didn't know any better, but after eating at the restaurant I realized in time how awful it was. I was lucky and spoke to someone really helpful and understanding. She let me make the switch to the Carriage House and although I was prepared to lose my $500 deposit, I was told it would be waived. I still think it is one of the best places for a shower. It is pretty, spacious and has a warm, homey feel, and the price is extremely reasonable.
