sex is our natural stress reliever. (We recently cut out alcohol and stuff so we need all the natural highs we can get!) Romantically speaking, i would love to. Practically speaking, we will both be psychos by the wedding day if we abstain!

We agreed to abstain from sexual intercourse for one month prior to the Wedding. But that doesn't mean that we can't be intimate.

My sister abstained for 2 or 3 mnths before her wedding - her choice (obviously!) 
and then she wondered why she was a bridezilla to the 100th power?????!!!!!!!!

FH and I said we'll abstain....for 1 month prior
but now its happening for way longer without even trying...we're just so tired btwn work, and this wedding
by the time we go to sleep which is pretty much midnight nowadays...we just kiss good nite and roll over...its not happening....
oh cant wait for the honeymoon!!!

We are waiting, though we decided to do that a while ago after having had sex for about a yearish. It was hard at first, but then I just got really serious about it. I am glad now that we are waiting, but I am actually nervous about it now.

The month leading up to the wedding was so stressful and we were so tired with all the holidays it wasn't that hard to do ... plus we didn't live together before the wedding so really it wasn't hard to abstain. Thinking back though, with a little effort a lot of stress would have been relieved.

I agree! We are trying to do 2-3 months before the wedding...but I think that will change come B-Party night...
I totally trust him and his friends (all his brothers) but that would be a cruel joke on the man.

Personally, in my opinion I don;t think it's ever a good idea to abstain from intamacy. I understand if you never had sex prior and were waiting for moral/religious/etc reasons but since you've had it I think it good to regularly show that emotion and share thqat intimacy. It might be one way to remain close as the stress from the wedding builds up - a way to reconnect at the end of the day.
I don't know, that's just how I feel about it. If you want to abstain until the wedding day and you are both comfortable with it then you should go with that. If only one of you wants to abstain though it may cause more problems than not abstaining. make sure your partner agrees with the reasons.

hahaha nah it'll change for sure, what I failed to mention is currently my parents are staying with us till the wedding . ..we're in a 2 bdrm coop, so to have the parents directly next door makes it easier to abstain... normally we wouldnt wait till bedtime, but we cant anymore at the drop of a hat with them home. .

We start today on our abstainance routine. We originally said March 15, but decided to start today. Wish us luck. We live together so I know it will be hard.

We don't live together and I still live with my parents, so it's not like we can spend nights together.
It's very hard to resist being with eachother whenever we can, but I think that our wait will totally be worth it. We'll be reconnecting in a way. Only 4 months to go...

Its funny you posted this because we met with the Pastor thats going to marry us over the weekend and it came up in conversation because I mentioned to him that FH and I currently live together. When he brought it up I almost passed out (due to the fact that FH and I are getting married in SIX MONTHS!!!).
I guess its a personal choice for couples which shows their committment to each other and to God.
