Re: HELP - Lose Weight For The Wedding...

Hi. I lost thirty pounds by spinning and lifting light weights. I did 45 minutes of cardio three days a week and lifted four days a week. I also had a restricted diet; I only ate egg whites, yogurt, salad, nuts, fruits, vegetables, fish and chicken. I had the occasional desert on the weekends. FM me if you have any questions. Losing weight isn't rocket science; it just requires will power.

Re: HELP - Lose Weight For The Wedding...

You want honesty right? Well, I joined the gym and went 6x per week. Sometimes 2x a day and joined Weight Watchers. This was a year ago....when I began I was 50 lbs over weight. As time went out (4-5months) into it, I started slacking.....I was getting really burned out. All I did was diet and go to the gym. I lost 25 pounds and still have 25 to go and I am getting married in 33 days. Let's say that I will not be at my goal weight by then, BUT I feel better!!!! All I can say is to watch what you eat and exercise. There is no magic potion, and it *****. I did get this awesome diet that I lost 10lbs in 2 weeks. Very, very, very disciplined.....if you are interested. FM me. Good Luck. BTW-I am sure everyone is going to look beautiful no matter what size.

Re: HELP - Lose Weight For The Wedding...

I just re-read my post and 25 lbs sounds like nothing, but I went down 2 sizes and lost inches. By nature and family genes, I have a tremendous slow metabolism. Good Luck

Re: HELP - Lose Weight For The Wedding...

i hate to sound like a commercial, but have you thought about south beach? only the first five or six days are really tough because it takes awhile for your blood sugar to adjust and for your cravings to go away, but it's not bad at all after that. i lost 10 pounds in less than a month... might be worth a shot.

Love, Love, Love Body for Life. I would highly recommend it because it gives you the balance of protein, carbs, and vegetables and I love it!

Re: HELP - Lose Weight For The Wedding...

Working with a trainer really did it for me. There was something about knowing that I had a standing appointment with someone to work out totally made me go to the gym more often. And working with some who knew that they were doing made me feel less intimidated going into the weight room.

But as my trainer says, excersize is only half of it! Got to eat the right foods too. Sigh.

Re: HELP - Lose Weight For The Wedding...

cut calories and exercise.. if you are good about it-- the weight will melt off. But you need to make the commitment to do it..

Also, no alcohol- empty calories..

Re: HELP - Lose Weight For The Wedding...

well, the good news is, you've got almost a year to lose the weight. I personally have found that people can really eat whatever they want if they do it in moderation...
Also, I'd cut out the white breads, cereals pastas and rice, and just switched to whole wheats.
Eat as many fruits and veggies as you can, and with meat and dairy, use moderation. Same with deserts...
Also, you've gotta exercise too. Cardio and weights.
That's the best and healthiest way to lose weight, and you'll feel better and be healthier too.

Re: HELP - Lose Weight For The Wedding...

I need help too. I want to lose like 20 pounds myself! I just haven't found the motivation. If any of you ladies are into astrology and stuff, I heard this a while back and it seems to help. They say around the new moon is a great time to start physical activity while around the full moon its good to cut back on calories. HTH
