jewelry question - kind of a stupid one

I am clueless!! I'm used to wearing white gold & know that it is 'good' jewelry. In looking online for bridesmaid jewelry, I noticed that alot of it does not say that it is sterling silver, white gold, etc - I'm looking to get them something, either a pearl drop or some kind of stone or something that has a white gold chain or white gold looking. The thing is with all this pretty jewelry, how do you know that it's not cheap to the point that it tarnishes on their neck or is uncomfortable as earrings? I know this is stupid, but if anyone knows what to look for, it would be very helpful....thanks.

You should seriously consider going to Tri County for any kind of jewelry. They have GREAT silver only booths and on the 2nd floor they have a TON of gold/gem dealers.
