Decorating baby's room question (please post pics)

If I wanted to paint cartoon characters or something of the sort on the walls -- is there a specific way to go about this? Has anyone done something similar?

I'm starting to work on the baby's room and though I have ideas, I'm looking for more inspiration - can you please post pics if your baby's room is ready??

Re: Decorating baby's room question (please post pics)

We don't have a room for our baby, he going to share half of our room. This is what we've done so far. The crib is set up, the mural is up (we still have to frame it with white molding) and his name is on the wall.

All I need are the accessories and oh yeah the baby..

Re: Decorating baby's room question (please post pics)

I finally go around to taking pics of Emily's nursery. I originally had all these big plans for my daughter's nursery. I wanted to paint a mural, then I wanted to paint a striped pattern on the walls, as you can see we just used lavendar and a border. I figured when she was older we can create a mural for her. I am very lucky because my dh is a fantastic artist. Everything I used was purchased at JCPenney. I love Emily's room.

They are both by Benjamin Moore. The yellow is definitely Pale Straw. I am not sure about the green. It was a color I bought accidentally for my hallway. I picked a color by another brand that looked more khaki/olive green and used a conversion chart to use BM paint and that was the color that resulted. We painted half our hall and it was horrible for a hall so we brought it next to our baby bedding and it matched so we kept it. i can see if DH remembers.

We are doing something similar - we bought Wallies which are exactly as described above. They are already cut-out so you just wet the back and stick them on the wall wherever you want. I thought I could be a little more creative than with just a border but not spend a lot of time on it. It's not done yet but I'll try to post pics when it is.
