Are florist suppose to charge you for a sample centerpiece?
Are florist suppose to charge you for a sample centerpiece? I went to go see my sample centerpiece for my e-party and it was stunning/beautiful. Anyways, the girl told me that they usually charge $100, but if the owner wasn't there she would give it to me for free. Well the owner was there so unfortunately she couldn't give it to me. I didn't want to dish out $100 if it wasn't necessary. I was just wondering about your experience w/ this. TIA

Totally depends on the florist - it should be in your contract.I know one piece is included in my contract - either bouquet or centerpiece.

Thanks ladies. At least I know for next time. I should of had her put it down in writing. Not a big deal, but it would have been nice to have.

My florist made me 2 sample centerpieces for free (and did not skimp on the flowers).

I got mine for free.
But I asked each florist I interviewed before hand also if they charge for the sample.
