Re: Opening Day!!
Pedro 6 innings with 12 strikeouts!!!!!!! He leaves the game with a 6-3 lead. Hopefully the bullpen can keep the lead.

Re: Opening Day!!
I have been watching the game all day.Pedro got roughed up in the 1st inning. He allowed a 3-run HR to Adam Dunn that I don't think has landed yet.
Since then he has been great.
Bullpen allowed a run in the 7th.
Mets HRs from Matsui, Beltran, and Floyd. Both Wright and Piazza hit one off the wall.
6-4 now.

Re: Opening Day!!
Mets just lost the game. Looper gave up a bottom of the 9th 2run homer to Dunn then a solo shot to somebody else. 7-6 reds final.i'm sick to my stomach.
MLB.TV is $15 a month... but you have to register it with an address out of state or else they will black out NYC games.
I registered with my Los Angeles office address.
But trust me its not worth paying for to see ugliness like this game.

I'm with you....how pathetic. May this not be a foreshadowing of the rest of our season.
Why do I never get used to this feeling of disappointment?

I keep hearing that soon we'll have our own Mets channel, supposedly next year. They've been saying that for the last 2 years.

Re: Opening Day!!
The Mets Network debuts on Time Warner Cable for the start of next season. Thats a major definite, the network is owned by Time Warner and I think Comcast. It will also be in Hi-Definition.Thats why Cablevision and Time Warner are so up at arms right now. Cablevision is pissed the Mets did not renew their contract with MSG/FoxSports... and that the Mets decided to host their new network with Cablevision's major competitor... so Cablevision wants to stick it to Time Warner this last season of Mets baseball.
Don't expect the Mets to come back anytime soon on TWC. They already replaced the channels with NBATV and something else... so that to me says they are ways apart in negotiations.
As far as yesterday's game goes... it was a major bummer... but it did have its good points...
- Reyes's Speed
- Beltran 3-4
- a HEALTHY Floyd
Lets hope they get game two. I am pissed though... Benson is on the DL. ***** bad... two starting pitchers are now on the DL and we have to now give a kid a shot at the 5th starting position (yuck)... something we tried to avoid by getting Ishii to replace Trax.

I can't for us to get our own channel...What ***** about the whole thing is that the fans are missing out the most in all of this...don't they care about that.
You're right thought...we did have some good points during the game.
DH says our bullpen may be in trouble...I just want a good season that's all...is that too much to ask for...

Re: Opening Day!!
Yeah.... my MLB.TV subscription that I had is not going to work to watch the games either. They are cracking down on my 'corrupted' billing information I gave them.
They are also blacking me out... blah. Anyways... there is brighter news though. 1st off... I just ordered RCN cable. Its time to drop Time Warner. RCN is going to give me almost everything I had with Time Warner for about 40 buks cheaper... AND i get Mets.
Oh... and today I got to see Rivera blow a save, Foulke blow a save, and Smoltz blow up completely in the 1st inning.
All is not too bad.
