The past year, I have not paid under $40 for a cut and blow dry.

I've been to Cactus, Ulta, T Carltuns, and even a small local shop.

Last cut, I was short on cash for the month, so I skipped the wash and blow dry- the cut alone was $25.
They had the nerve to charge $10 more for 'long hair', even though they didnt have to wash or dry it. I have a simple cut- some long layers and slight angles around the face, so I can go a little while without a cut.

At Ulta, I think the highest stylist is $28 - BUT friends and family week starts April 10th - I have several cards for 20% a salon service.

eta: I'd be happy to get you some cards (it's also good for 20% off your entire purchase) if you're local. Which Ulta do you go to?

I went to Ulta it was 38. The last time I got my hair cut I went to Kamira in Hicksville and I paid 32.

$65 @ Tru in St James.....I see the owner, Brian. I think the other stylists are less expensive - maybe in the $45 range??

I never pay less than $40, I think its obscene that they charge me extra for long hair - when in actuality they are cutting less hair, all they cut on mine is the bottoms. Theres no styling, not like someone with shorter hair.
They charge me more but they take more time to do a shorter hair person.

I went to Alyssa there twice - but then she quit and didn't tell anyone where she went. She was awesome!!!
