Re: Let's spice things up a bit...

I should have added mine...oops

I have two drink recipes that I usually build my food around- mango margaritas or sangria.

chorizo (spanish sausage) with manchego cheese on toasted slices of bread salad or homemade bruschetta

main course- paella, roasted chicken, or fajitas...

sounds simple, but he loves this stuff

candles and music help too LOL

Re: Let's spice things up a bit...

Best way to my man's heart is certainly through his stomach - and usually anything will do! He's easy - actually boring to cook for - loves roasted chicken and anything grilled. I love to cook - and he just wants the boring stuff .

He doesn't want the music - candles are a must - and he'd probably prefer to cap it off by watching a re-run of Scrubs !

I love him!!!

I haven't had the chance to cook for him since we don't live together yet and both sets of parents never go anywhere

Re: Let's spice things up a bit...

My FH is very simple...He loves anything chicken especially chicken parm or chicken rollentini...

Luckily my parents go away for the entire summer, so I am able to cook for him then...Candles are always nice but FH doesn't need them to get him going

Re: Let's spice things up a bit...

he liked my feta baked chicken from cooking light.
he makes me make it all the time.

however when fh eats too much he has to 'sit up' and then i go to bed becasue his sit up time is like 3 hours! so i am better off having some fun while cooking or before hand

FH is the cook and he does it well. No need for me to really start!
Nah, I will....someday.

Re: Let's spice things up a bit...

FH cooks for me! So I don't think he'd like it as much if I cooked something. He usually ends up helping me cook.

LOL- I wish it was that easy...FH and I don't even live together, but I still cook for him at least 3-4 times a week. He is so spoiled!

It's harder to impress him sometimes and show him that I mean 'business' - that's why I make us a drink- THAT's something I don't do everyday!!!
