making chocolate lollipop favors for bridal shower...

I got the chocolate molds at Michaels, but wasn't sure about buying the actual chocolate there. Has anyone done this? What brand did you use or where did you buy it? thanks

I'm not sure where you're located, but I usually get my chocolate at a local store in Nesconset, Long Island. But I'm sure the chocolate at Michaels is just fine.

I suggest going to your local supermarket and buying Ghardelli chocolates...they're amazing! They're so rich, and absolutely delicious.

Re: making chocolate lollipop favors for bridal shower...

I just made chocolate lollipops for my newphews birthday party. I went to a little shop in Huntington called Sweeties Candy Shop. They sell a 5 lb. bag of Mercken's melting wafers for about $11.50. I don't like the Wiltons chocolate. I just melted the chocolate a little at a time in the microwave for a minute on 50% power. Stirred it up and did it again until it was pourable. Put the sticks in the mold, pour on the chocolate, and refrigerate for about 15 mins. Then pop them out and start over. The lady in the store recommended melting the chocolate in a crockpot. She sells everything you need there including lots of molds. But I bought my sticks in Michaels.
