wedding band and e-ring question

I have an emerald cut diamond e-ring and ma having a ahrd time figuring out what kind of band I want. The setting is rather low. Did anyone have a band made to sit flush against their e-ring? Does anyone wear a band next to their e-ring and they do not sit flush?

Help!!!

Re: wedding band and e-ring question

A friend of mine has an emerald cut e-ring. She got a beautiful diamond wedding band - it was just a row of baguettes, horizontally set. It's really pretty, and looks great together.

eta: to 'answer the question' - the baguette band is thin, and doesn't exactly sit flush, but it works very well.

Re: wedding band and e-ring question

I am in the same situation! And no one really answers the question correctly!

I have an oval, low set e-ring and I am assuming I have to get a custom made band, curved to sit flush together. We are going back to the jeweler who made my e-ring. If I don't likewhat he suggests, I may have to wear a separate band and e-ring on right

Good Luck!

Re: wedding band and e-ring question

I have a three stone emerald cut e-ring and it's also low set...had a hard time finding a band to sit flush withut having to make one with a 'curve' which I didn't want in case I wanted to wear the band alone. I ended up getting a round diamond eternity band that's very thin (less than 2mm) so while there is a space in between and it doesn't sit flush, the space isn't huge and it looks nice, IMO. Try out different bands and see which you like best, but if you want a true flush fit you may have to either re-set your e-ring or get a band that curves a bit. Good luck!

Thanks for an answer that actually answers the question! So many time I have posted and no one replied to the actual question. I'll check out different bands, I guess...

Re: wedding band and e-ring question

I have a princess cut ring w/ a thin band. It's not that high, but not that low either. I didn't want a band that was flush to it, as I'm just not a person for 'sets' I've got an eternity band and there is a gap b/t the side stones w/ the eternity band. I think it looks great, except I do want to have my e-ring set higher DH is going to kill me one day-

Re: wedding band and e-ring question

I am having the same problem but my e-ring is 3 princess cut stones & the middle one is not flush with the other two so a small space will be b/w my two rings. I have looked into this and found that they can create a ring to match mine & weld it to my e-rign but then I can never wear them separatly and there are curved rings that you can buy which look ok but I have decided to get a skinny band so that it doesn't take away from my e-ring and so that it doesn't look liek there is such a big space b/w the two rings. Some peopel I know who have a emerald cut ring wear it on their right hand & their wedding ring on their left. For me that isn't an option.

Re: wedding band and e-ring question

I had this problem. My ring was made and it was so hard to find a wedding band. I went to Elsa's in Farmingdale and they took a mold of my E ring while I watched it was the coolest thing. Then they made my wedding band to MATCH EXACTLY. It sits the same height as my ring and the diamonds match up perfectly. Go for a consultation. You wont be sorry. They also made my DH ring that we saw in Fortunoff for a 1000 dollars less then what fortunoff wanted. Elsa is a vendor here. Check her out.

Re: wedding band and e-ring question

Thanks for all the great suggestions. I think I will end up with a narrow eternity band. Does anyone have any pictures of an e-ring and band with a little bit of a gap. I think I would rather do this so I can wear them separated if I want to.

I don't have a pic of them together (but will by next month ) but this is my e-ring and a stock pic of my weddig band...the gap is tiny.

OK...just for you, I just took these pics...this is my e-ring and wedding band together. Notice that there is no gap between my ring's setting and the band, the only gap is on the sides and it's not big enough to bother me.
So sorry for the horrible pics!
