Wish me luck i am going to the endoconolgist today at 3:45

I am so nervous i hope they tell me the medicine is working and that i can stay on the 50 mg synthroid. i know i will have to go for a bloodtest I will properly have to go tomorrow i will just go to Quest. Wish me luck !

Ro let me get this straight your endo is not drawing the blood for you in the office and instead is making you go to a lab??? That is not right neither of the endos I have EVER been to ever sent me to a lab, they always drew my blood for me and checked my neck and ankles. You should really question why he is not drawing the blood himself! Good luck though and don't be upset if your meds increase it takes a while to find the right dosage!

My endo does not draw blood eirher. He sends me to a lab for blood work. He does check my neck though. I am on 125 mg of synthroid.

I am not sure jamie i will find out today! I might get it drawn there i am just assumptions i hope they draw it there! I didn't eat all day and i am hungry i dont know if i should eat just incase they do draw blood!

Lisa really??? I can't believe that, I stand corrected! Wow I have been to two different practices under 2 different insurances and the only time I had to go the lab was by my request because I wasn't feel well enough to drive from Patchogue to Great Neck. I hate going to labs I guess I should be greatful then that both of mine did them right in the office then!!!

Thank you everyone! I have Not Eaten all day today i am sooo hungry the last time i ate was last night! Maybe i should eat something than. Thanks jamie i will let you know definetely if i get blood drawn there.Pray I do!

I am waiting to hear from my doctor to see if my syntroid goes from .75 to 100. She hasn't called, I don't want to call, b/c then if it is ok, great, but if i have to increase, okay, but then i am a bit speeding for a day or 2 before i get adjusted.

I also go to Quest for my lab work, also I can get my blood done at work b/c we have a health center.

Jamie, I have been going to my endro for 6 years and he never has taken blood. I go to the lab every 3-4 months for blood work.

I Just called my doctor (and why haven't THEY called me??)..and I have to go in for her to tell me that my thyroid is 'off'--well I could have told her that, duh....if it is one thing I get annoyed at is the lack of followup w/ a doctor. And how long has she had these results??? urrghh.. Anyway : ) off to see her on Monday night for my dosage increase....

Ok I am back from the endoconlogist! well while i was waiting to go to the doctor i had to go to the bathroom and i split my nail stupid me! but the good news is Jamie you were right they took my blood there! now i have to call next week for the test results.
