Need place to eat tonight

Since I am not all that familiar with LI restaurants-- can anyone recco places near Roslyn/Old Westbury that have either good salads or good sushi..

Wanting something casual to hit after we take the train out tonight..

Have you been to that Japanese Buffet place on Glen Cove Road. I think the name is Mikado. they have awesome salads and tons of them. Like 20 different salads. They also have tons of sushi. It's not cheap, but it's casual and the food is REALLY good.

It's not Roslyn. It's westbury or Carle Place. i think that's considered Carle Place.

I think I know where you mean - it is in that TJ Maxx shopping center - across from Voice Rd. in Carle Place

ETA: My brother raves about Shiro on Old Country Rd. in Westbury for sushi. I have never been, but would like to try it.

It's in Jericho which is not the areas you asked about but not that far. Higashi on Jericho Tpke and Nagashima. Both are excellent sushi places. Shiro is better for Hibachi. The sushi is good but they don't make any creative rolls or platters. Very basic.

Hmmm. I've been to Shiro, but never had the sushi there. Interesting. I'll have to remember that next time I'm there. I'm always learning new things on LIW, even things NWR.

Riverbay. They have the best seafood. I think it's on Willets road, but am not sure.

in Great Neck the best place ever is Daruma

Also Citrus in Albertson is good and Mim's in Roslyn.

yeah it is.. FH likes it.. so it;s cool.. I actually think we might go there tonight- I try to go as much as I can in the city- although since I moved uptown I don;t eat there as much-- although he loves sushi-- I am picky about the places we go cause I am so limited in what I can eat..

BTW I am dying for sushi- you reminded me!! But I just started low carb
