What do you think of ordering your centerpieces online?
They always seem to come so fresh and can be delivered overnight. I've found so many beautiful arrangements. Any thoughts on this?Have any of you done your flower arrangements alone?

Re: What do you think of ordering your centerpieces online?
Don't you have to do some of the arranging yourself though? I would just order roses online and do the arranging myself.

I would worry that they wouldn't get here on time. I'm not sure I would want to put together centerpieces in the midst of all the other stuff going on that week before my wedding.

Re: What do you think of ordering your centerpieces online?
I think it's a little bit of a risk but why not. There are so many reputable places that have beautiful and affordable arrangements. I get so frustrated looking at the price tag of some arrangements, I wonder about your idea too. Take a look at www.proflowers.com or even red envelope. I think this may be less of a risk with less arrangements. If you go this route, I would suggest placing a few orders, rather than 20 in one shot. Maybe order in a group of five or something like that so if there is a problem, there's less risk. Does that make sense?

Re: What do you think of ordering your centerpieces online?
yes, I agree. I would also order ahead of time to see what they look like and see how long they take. I know someone who is getting married this weekend was waiting for her flowers from proflowers and they still hadnt come as of last night because of UPS I believe. Scary.

I'm ordering flowers from www.wholesaleflowers.com, but I'm just doing the bouquets....my centerpieces come with the hall....I say if you like the centerpieces, then go for it!

Off topic but I was just looking at the proflowers catalog, they have gorgeous arrangements.

Re: What do you think of ordering your centerpieces online?
I am considering this as well - however i do NOT want to be arranging my centerpeices. I believe there is a national wholesaler florist in Merrick and they give a great deal. Because they are local i would feel more secure ordering from them. Also, 1-800-flowers has always been reliable when I have used them.Good luck. If you do this please post how it went.

I'm not sure what you mean by arranging your centerpieces. Aren't they already ready when they're mailed to you?

Re: What do you think of ordering your centerpieces online?
Is it really that much cheaper than any of the florists you've checked out? JMO, I'd rather haev someone being paid to worry about the CP's on the wedding day ... there's already enough going on.

Re: What do you think of ordering your centerpieces online?
I was thinking of Pro Flowers too. I love the quality of their flowers and very realiable. I suggest comparing the prices with florists that you find and take into consideration the shipping costs and who is going to do the transport and set up of the flowers.I'm opting not to do it this way because my venue's ceilings are really high and I'd like half of my centerpieces to be high and they don't seem to have any. That and no one will be able to set up the centerpieces for me...

Re: What do you think of ordering your centerpieces online?
Are you most concerned w/price??? If so, I recm'd my Florist - they have beaten every single quote thus far by a landslide. FM me for more info.JMO: IN the end, ordering online is risky - between delivery time and getting them to the hall, you won't have your head in it to worry about it ya know? Save yourself the stress and go throgh a florist.
