How much money do you give for an out of town wedding?

I am leaving tomorrow for my cousin's wedding in Broomfield Co, about 45 minutes outside of Denver. I need to figure out before I go how much money to give them. I have heard that out New York, people give often give gifts at weddings as well as money. I am def. giving money,but how much should I give?

Anyone have any suggestions?

I give the same amount. 200.00. that is my flat rate.

My last OOT wedding I gave $250. It was black tie optional, and it involved considerable expense, and when I got there I was actually pissed for having given so much b/c the wedding SO wasn't what I expected. I think whatever you would give for a normal wedding or a little less is fine.

#2 They probbaly didn't spend the amount of money or expect the amount of gifts as a NY wedding

I think you're right, they know exactly how much it costs here to have a wedding here and have even commented on how my wedding will cost me double what theirs cost. I just dont want to offend anyone, but I can only do my best, its costing alot to get there and the hotel is kind of alot. Thanks.
