Unemployed newlyweds-is your sex life suffering?
I know there are a few of us newlyweds out there who are unemployed or our DH's are. Has anyone else's sex life suffered as a result of this? I can't seem to get excited about sex since I have been laid off. I feel crappy about myself and cry often.Anyone else experiencing anything similar?

Oh, Juliet, I know how you feel. When I was unemployed EVERYTHIGN suffered! I was feeling so bad about myself it was hard to do anything. I think we forget how much your professional life affects every other aspect of your life.Hang in there, it'll get better!!

Thanks for making me feel like I am not alone or crazy in my feelings.
I feel so bad for DH. I am so depressed lately.

Will it make you feel better if I say we're not unemployed and out sex life has suffered? For us a lot has to do with putting on some weight post wedding and now my pregnancy leaves me with almost no desire
It will get better though. Don't feel bad about yourself for being out of work. Its just a temporary thing.

I think when you are under any type of stress your sex life suffers.
It's normal!

This is very true, I think we all go through this from time to time. Hang in there, it'll get better.

There are so many stresses in life that affect our relationships. It's tough but now is the time to get some emotional support from DH. Let him know how you are feeling. I'm unemployed, but I think our sex life has also suffered bc we just bought a house and I'm pregnant.
