Putting number of people on response cards
Hey girls, just wondering. Is everyone putting a spot that says how many people will be attending. Like if I put Mr. and Mrs. on the inner envelope can I just assume if they check they will come thats its just the two of them. My FH is really against putting adult only reception because he's worried about a few things but do you find that people put in their names on the lineM__________________________?

i had the blank for names, yes or no, and then number attending- it is just easier to understand

Re: Putting number of people on response cards
I wanted to cover all the bases so I put Adult Reception in a smaller font in the lower left hand corner AND Number attending _________.

all we ahd to do is check yes or no
i think this eliminates any confusion.
on our invites, we put number of guest coming. oddly enough, many people invite others just cause they think they can do that

we did it this way too.
I just received an invite that had 'Number of persons invited 'and 'Number of persons attending' on the RSVP card, I thought this was good too, I dont think guests could confuse how many invites were extended.

Re: Putting number of people on response cards
Our guests are not that bright (sad but true), so we did 'Adult Reception' on the reception card (which I know your fi doesn't want to do) and htis was our RSVP card:We are looking forward
to celebrating with you.

We filled in how many seats were reserved, they filled in if 2 were attending or less. Thank God we did not get a card with more than what we reserved for them, we did get cards with less (and with no names, but that's another story).

Re: Putting number of people on response cards
You need to know how many people are coming....because too many people extend the invite to people who where not actually invited. I like the idea of stating how many people were invited...or how many seats have been reserved....I wish that I had thought to do something like that when I ordered my invites

Re: Putting number of people on response cards
Def include # attending. It just makes it easier when tallying up who you've got and eliminates confusion. I can't beleive people invite other people tho, I mean unless you put '& guest'. If your FI doesn't want to put Adult Reception then just put Mr and Mrs, don't mention 'family'. They should understand that means no kids. Altho I'm sure some out there don't get it. If they're confused they'll call you and ask, hopefully.
