Very scary situation tonight.....

I was almost in an accident. I was coming down Nassau Blvd in Garden City and there was an accident on one side...someone had knocked over a lamppost or something BUT it went into my lane of traffic BUT they only had the other side blocked off and I went over the lamp post

I thought Oh GOd...my car is done..but it seems to be ok...knock on wood!

I did not see this thing and plus its raining and its not that brightly lit over there...so when I got home I called the GC Police and told them the need to have someone over on the other side and they gave me an attitude

Hello this almost caused me a serious accident

OMG!! At least you are safe. I have to work withthe police for my job sometimes and I find some of them to be very nasty and rude. Dont pay any attention to them

Boy oh boy, that must've been so scary. Can't believe the coppers gave you an attitude over that. Ughh!! Well at least you are alright...that's all that matters right now. I'll also keep my fingers crossed that your car is alright too. I'm sure it will be fine!! Take it easy!!

Thank god you are ok. Some cops can be nasty. But it's more important that nothing bad happened to you.

Kathleen, that is terrible! There definitely should have been cones or a barricade or something there. You were only trying to be helpful & yes, you almost were in a serious accident, especially w/t he rain & poor visibility yesterday, too.

Frustrating cops!

I'm glad you are okay (is this the car that you hate?!)
