Photog Review

Hi Ladies

I just wanted to give a short review of the four photogs I have seen thus far. I had good experiences with all of them, so I felt I would pass it along. We have not booked anyone yet, although we are leaning towards one in particular.

Twelfth Night: LOVED the work, and Dominic has a great personality. He works a la cart, meaning his rates for for photog only, and albums can be added on. I LOVE his music DVD slide show...it's just like a movie and he seems very easy to work with. Highly recommended if you like candid shots (posed were also great)

Bill Minnick: GREAT photogs, a little bit less photojournalistic than I like, but his prices are VERY fair, and he does do both. If you like traditional pics with SOME photojournalism at a great price, definitely check Bill out. He's a very nice guy.

Sherwood Triart: LOVED the work too...but only works off of packages, which are pricey. Right now I am only looking for a great photographer- I don't want to be tied to a package OR have the full package price dictate my decision. If Sherwood quoted prices for just pics and proofs for the day, I would consider them, but they want me to purchase a whole package...I don't like to be handcuffed. BUT, if you are looking for awesome work and have the $$$ to spend up front, by all means check them out. For the work, they are worth it. Also, if you getting video, Ask for KEVIN...great guy!

Perceptions: Also LOVED there work- very photojournalistic, but also working mainly off packages. the difference here is that Lucille (the office manager, I think) will find out from the powers that be what it would cost me just for the work without enlargements or albums. I do like that idea. I didn't like the fact that the main photographer (Anthony Vasquez) would not photograph my wedding unless we were going with a package of AT LEAST $5000....leaves a slightly bad taste in my mouth, but if you like photojournalism, your search should not be completed before you check them out. the other photog, Geraldine, has great work too (and will roll out of bed for you for much less than Anthony)

I tried to objective in the above reviews because I know how it is to post a photog Q and have people respond 'I used so and so..they were great'...since I am checking these people out, I am trying to provide more info. Hope this helps girls!

Good Luck!

I think you had a post about photog, and I posted on yours that I had a small review that I would bump...that's all I guess. I hope anyone can find it useful.
