Funny celebrity sighting at theatre today

OK, so FH and I went to see The Pillowman on Broadway today - which was FANTASTIC, but I have to tell you what happened during intermission.

First thing you need to know though is Billy Crudup is the lead actor in the play.

So I'm waiting on the unbelievably long line to get to the ladies room and a group of women about 5 feet or so behind me start talking about the play and their voices are REALLY LOUD. Their conversation goes something like this:

Lady 1. 'Who'd a thought that Billy Crudup was such a good actor?

Lady 2. 'Yeah - he's great. . . you know, he's the one that was with Mary Lousie Parker.'

Lady 3. 'And he dumped her - when she was like, 8 months pregnant!'

Lady 2. 'I know!'

Lady 1. 'What a *******!'

Lady 3. 'He's a good actor - but such a jerk.'

So I'm kinda listening to their conversation and then I look up and 3 feet in front of me, standing right by the entrance to the bathroom, and obviously also hearing the ladies' conversation, is CLAIRE DANES, the girl Billy Crudup is currently dating. She looked so annoyed. I felt a little embarrassed for her, but then I just started giggling - I couldnt help it.

I know! I felt badly that she heard the women talking, then I just started laughing because honestly, it was like the moment in a movie when the mean popular girl in high school gets her comeuppance. . . then I felt badly again cause claire danes might very well be a nice person. . . then i started laughing again cause I was taking all of it so personally.

Wow, then again you have to imagine this is not the first time she has heard this.

WE'll never know what really happened but it does seem like a horrible thing he did to Mary Louise Parker.

People need to be a bit more discreet

Ya never know who is right around the corner.! They could have been a bit quieter about it. But its funny that Claire happened to be there!
