How Do You Dress for Work?

I'm starting a new job tomorrow at Adelphi and wondering what to wear. I'm pretty sure I'm going to wear black pants and a fitted button down shirt - I figure I can't go wrong. This was pretty much my standard dress code when I worked at Hofstra and in the high schools.
I hope the office isn't really dress up!!

What do you wear to work?

Re: How Do You Dress for Work?

I have to wear a suit everyday. Every now and then, we will sneak in a sweater with pants

Re: How Do You Dress for Work?

I dress business formal. I am a high school teacher and I am still very young so I have to differentiate myself some how.

Re: How Do You Dress for Work?

Seriously, you will be fine. They don't get very dressed up in those offices. Good Luck!

Re: How Do You Dress for Work?

Trousers (black, brown, gray, green are my staples) and either a v-neck pullover or some kind of button down. Usally heels or flats unless I know I will be on my feet more than usual. Then it's sneakers which look stupid but necessary. If I have to go to a meeting with principals and regional bigwigs, then it's a pantsuit or a skirt.
