yep..i got a gift certificate right after my one year. I was kind of annoyed at the concept but he wrote a very nice note so all forgiven :)

We actually got one last weekend. He saud to us well you have a year to give a gift!

nope, all our gifts came within the month before/after the wedding date

We never got a gift from his dad and stepmom, even though they told us a few times that they were going to get us something

Our anniversary is Sunday, and we haven't seen anything in the mail yet!

wow, never thought of that. I would have to say I would rather no gift than a gift late. Though, at the same time, I like the idea of getting wedding gifts through the year. It is like Christmas all year round!

I am not at the year mark, however i did get two gifts recently from people at our wedding.

Yes, we received one over a year later - almost 15 months later. I was surprised we received anything at all. The girl was a friend of mine who sang at our wedding and she kept saying she forgot to send it and it was sitting in her office. Then when she drove up to see us she forgot to bring it with her. But the note included in the gift said it was on backorder and she ended up having to get something different. I guess she forgot what she had originally told me!

The funny thing is that she gave us this large pot with steamer from Calphalon. Her sister works for them!

We got a wedding gift I think it was just about a year. This was a family friend who was not invited to the wedding -not because we didn't want her there, but more because she had previously expressed to other family friends that she kept getting invited to weddings and then had to send a gift and how she couldn't afford all of it - and also she wouldn't have been able to get off work to be there so we were advised not to invite her so she wouldn't feel obligated. But then when we saw her around our first anniversary, she wrote a check and said she had kept meaning to send it to us and was so sorry she hadn't before and as I tried to ask her not to, that she really didn't need to, she said she wouldn't take no for an answer. I felt really bad and just hoped that she knew she wasn't not included because we didn't want her there. Oh well, it was appreciated.
