how far in advance do you get your wedding bands?

im going to have to have mine custom made to fit my e ring..can anyone give me an idea on when to start looking to order them?TIA

I ordered mine about 3 weeks ago. FH hasn't ordered his yet.

We ordered ours back in early March for our late May wedding. If you're getting them engraved, make sure to build in that time, too...

the earlier you order them, the longer you have to come up with the money to pay for them!!

Honestly, if you have to have it made or want something special your should do it the earlier the better. I started looking in January and only picked up my ring last week. What I wanted wasn't out there so it had to be custom made and it took a while to find a jeweler I trusted. Once I found him he was very quick.

where are you girls getting your rings made? any good recommendations in suffolk county?

We went looking for rings in December and January and finally purchased them in mid February. They came into the store during late March and we had them custom engraved. They needed to be sent out for hand engraving and arrived this week (end of April). Our wedding is in August.
I have the bar exam in July and did not want to worry about them so we probably did it a little earlier than necessary but I hope the above gives you a good time line.

I think mine took at least 1 month to come in because it had to be customized but I can't remember exactly when I ordered it. I just picked mine up last week.
