How did you know it was the time to TTC?

When did it dawn on you?

Was it a moment?

An overwhelming feeling?

I am still pretty positive I am not ready, but I am just wondering how did you know you were ready?

Was it a gradual feeling that increased over time or just an second in your life when it hit you?

I am wondering if I will ever feel ready?

Re: How did you know it was the time to TTC?

when i think about my age!
This is my BIGGEST concern! Ready or not...i am getting up there and i do not want to have my first child when i am over 35 so i am facing this reality sooner than i normally would....

If i was 27-28...i would be waiting longer!

Re: How did you know it was the time to TTC?

I was ready before DH was, and we talked about it and at one point he said he wasnt sure if he wanted kids, and it killed me
But I think he just wanst ready, and I NEVER pressured him. So, one day we were watching tv, and he turned around to me and said lets have a baby. I cried so hard and hugged him, but we are still trying.

Re: How did you know it was the time to TTC?

Rich and I talked about it both before the first PG and when we'd start trying again. We sat and thought about how our lives would change, our work, our everything. I've been ready from day one pretty much. I've always wanted to be a young mom. Rich...for him, it was seeing one of his best friends go through it and realizing that he could do it and wanted to be a father. His words were 'When I see a baby, I think to myself-Hey, I can do that.' and then he turned to me and said 'I want a baby'.

If you are unsure if you are ready, talk it over with Phil and see where he stands and maybe that will give you somewhere to start. You may decide kids aren't for you.

Also, I spent alot of time with my best friend while she was PG and with her babies and that made me realize I wanted it.

I felt the same way. I will be 31 this July.
My husband and I talked about this before we were married and agreed that we would not wait. We are both ready for this.
If I was still in my 20's then I probably would have given myself more time.
