Why are people stupid????

Every once in a while I will get an email addressed to my last name (ie Dear LastName). My last name is not a common first name, I don't think it could even be misconstrued as a quirky first name...

I can only guess that people are getting this from the header of my email, which says FROM or REPLY TO or something followed by my name.

Is it just me or is it that difficult to remember that when a comma is placed between two names, it means the first one is the surname and the second is the first name. Why is that so hard for people to grasp!!!???

Blame it on the depletion of the ozone layer and assume the sun is pounding on their puny little heads thus frying the few brain cells they may have left. Just a theory.
