Relaxed? BK Sweenys - Bethpage, Lynbrook, Garden City South
American? Hemingways in Wantagh, Singletons in Bethpage (Plainedge??)

Well, I wanted to do my rehearsal at a brunch... so I am not sure what type of place i am looking for. I live in Westchester....

For brunch I would say:

Riverbay - it one of the better seafood restaurants on the island - they have a lot of parties there for brunch - it is a buffet with a raw bar, hot items, omletts and waffles, carving station, breads, salads, and dessert.

Carlton - in Eisenhower park - has a very nice brunch it is a I think a three course menu

I would recommend either - if you have a larger crowd you could see if Waterzooi would do a party for brunch in their private room

go to eatoutli.com, they actually have a whole list of places on LI that serve brunch and its soo helpful!

I have been to RiverBay for brunch in Jan it was great, and then this pat Sunday we went to the Crescent in Bayville and they had a very good brunch also. You might also want to check the Garden City Hotel.

The St James in Mineola and I have also heard that the Cheesecake Factory has an awesome one on Sundays

Hey there!
So I happened to be at Borrellis Italian Restauant on Hempstead Turnpike in East Meadow Ny and since I am getting married next September I saw they redid their entire retaurant. I noticed they now have a private room!

It looks fabulous, they had it set up for a party which I am guessing was either a wedding shower or rehearsal dinner...so I snapped some pics to share with my girls on the wedding sites. I just booked my wedding rehearsal dinner there for next year and the prices are right where you need.

The owners name is Frank. Ask to speak to him and he has a few different menu types to choose which helps to fit whatever your needs are, on a budget or high end liquor they were able to accomodate.

So anyway, I hope this helps ladies, oh by the way the phone is 516-794-0190 and the website www.borrellisrestaurant.com

Riverbay, Carlton, and the Cresent Club are good recommendations. St. James would probably be good and affordable as well. I would add Seventh Street Cafe in Garden City,and though this is in Port Jefferson, Robinson's Tea Room is beautiful.
