Well, my TTC cat is out of the bag!!

So DH and I decided not to tell our parents about TTC. I have only told my sister and my officemate (and you girls!).

On Saturday my sister, mom and I went to get massages. On the form for the massage, it asks if you are pregnant - since I'm in the maybe stage right now, I didn't want to put yes or no, so I left it blank and just talked to the masseuse about it.

He was new and it's a training school so he said he had to confirm with his teacher first. They said it was okay, they would just avoid pressure on my lower back.

Well, I finish my massage and go out to meet my mom and sister and the massage school teacher pulls me aside and tells me that she's sorry, but SHE TALKED TO MY MOM ABOUT THE POTENTIAL PREGNANCY!!!

She assumed that my mom knew!! So there's my mom, having NO IDEA that I was trying and getting told by a stranger. I was sooooooooo mad!!!

OH goodness, that is just at sticky situation at best - and the worst way for a Mom to find out -- UGH!!! I would be so aggravated at that massage school lady

I'm sorry that your TTC cat is out of the bag now .. is your Mom one of those Mom's who are going to annoy you to no end about this now? (I pray not for your sake!

The really strange thing is that she didn't say anything. I gave her the whole story, but she didn't really react at all. Neither did my dad.

I'm not sure if they were upset that I didn't tell them earlier or if they just didn' want to pry.

Now DH's parents, on the other hand, would have been a nightmare....so I'm stuffing the cat back in the bag for them!!

I think to our parents, nobody really TRIED tc. It just kinda happened...maybe she assumed all along that you weren't using anything...

So sorry the cat is out of the bag...That 'massage school lady' should have never told your family...Everything you say to a Massage Therapist is supposed to be confidential, like with a Dr.
Really unprofessional of her IMO.

Oh wow, that really *****.

A similar situation happened to me except my Aunt was the masseuse and she asked if I were pregnant and I said ....'I don't think so but you never know' At the time, I wasn't TTC but we weren't using any BC either.
